Stories, Community, and the Joy of Discovery.

Founded by Florida native and lifelong reader Emma Grace Merritt, The Grove Books is a newly launched traveling book trailer inspired by the color, charm, and storytelling traditions of old Florida. Still in its first chapter, the company was created with a simple idea: bring books, creativity, and community directly to people through thoughtfully curated pop-ups and events across the state.

Now led by CEO Ira Reilly Merritt, The Grove Books is building something intentionally small, personal, and deeply rooted in Florida culture. From books and stationery to vintage-inspired gifts and Florida goods, every part of the shop reflects a love for the state’s history. From citrus crate art and roadside attractions to the bright optimism of historic postcard advertising.

The Grove Books isn’t a traditional bookstore. It’s a mobile experience designed to show up where people already gather: local markets, festivals, coastal towns, art walks, and community events. As a growing small business, we care about creating spaces that feel welcoming, nostalgic, and distinctly Floridian.

At its heart, The Grove Books is about preserving a feeling — warm evenings, handwritten notes, dog-eared paperbacks, roadside orange stands, and the magic of discovering something unexpected. This is only the beginning, and we’re excited to grow one stop, one story, and one community at a time.
